Nesmith Insurance Agency Receives Multiple Awards
At the recent Erie Awards Banquet, held at the Kahkwa Club in Erie, PA and attended by Erie Executive Senior Management and Board Members, Nesmith Insurance Agency of Warren, PA was awarded the prestigious Erie Branch Commercial Insurance Award in their division. Nesmith Insurance Agency was also the recipient of the much coveted "F.W. Hirt Founders' Award” which recognizes an agency’s quality of business, production, and commitment to service.

A.M. Best Affirms Financial Strength Ratings
On June 25th, 2010, Terry Cavanaugh, President & CEO of A.M. Best affirmed Financial Strength Ratings reported that A. M. Best Company has affirmed the financial strength rating of A+ (Superior) of Erie Insurance Group and its property/casualty members, Erie Insurance Exchange, Erie Insurance Company, Erie Insurance Company of New York, Flagship City Insurance Company and Erie Insurance Property & Casualty Company. In addition, A.M. Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of A (Excellent) of Erie Family Life. The outlook for all ratings is stable.
A.M. Best cited many positive reasons for the affirmed ratings, including ERIE’s consistently superior risk-adjusted capitalization, strong long-term performance and well-established market presence. A.M. Best also noted that ERIE “benefits from the strength of its balance sheet, its high service reputation and agency partnering approach, which helps to strengthen agency loyalty.” Additionally, A.M. Best stated that ERIE “maintains prudent risk management capabilities and continues to enhance its effective enterprise risk management process, which identifies, measures and monitors existing and emerging risks.”
